Samuel Mujuru
　

Samuel Mujuru is the brother of Ephat Mujuru, a famous mbira player. They are called brother although they have a different father. In reality they are cousins, but Shona people refer to their cousins as their brothers. The Mujuru family have been trying for a long time spread the music of mbira. Ephat did quite a lot to accomplish this. He established a college of music in Zimbabwe for those that want to learn the instrument. Samuel was the one who made mbira for the students.

The mbira he makes are beautiful and the sound is deep. His mbira consists of keys made of steel, shaped with fire. His mbira are also known for their low tuning, according to the Mujuru tradition. His mbira have a sound polished with history.
