Chris's studio has many machine parts and facilities for production. Iron, a common material for the keys, is stocked behind his work table in large quantities. Chris always buys iron and mukuwa wood in preparation for orders. There is no other artist in all of Harare who keeps as much raw materials stocked up as Chris.

When we visit his studio, Chris always greets us with a smile. There is also an indoor work space.He attaches a label to a finished key in order to properly identify it later on. Stocked up mbira and mukuwa pile up crowdedly on the shelf, awaiting production.
